Matt

Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December, 1991. He is the son of Manny James, and Patty James of mixed race. He is the son of Nigerian and his mother caucasian American. He graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School and furthered to Wake Forest University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Economics in 2015. James became famous when he made his on-screen debut on the reality star on The Bachelorette. He was selected in 2020 to play the bachelor for season 25 of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in 2021. James was the ideal candidate for the job, as he is well-rounded tall, athletic and has a good sense of humor. Rachael Krokconnell won the competition by allowing James to establish an intimate relationship with her. He teamed up with the famous dancer Arnold to compete in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold placed 12th.
